A hinge board doesn't just display — it pivots. These displays stand 36 inches wide by 93 inches tall — nearly eight feet of brand presence commanding a convention floor alongside some of the largest commercial real estate firms in the country. Designing at this scale requires more than aesthetic decisions. It requires understanding how a viewer moves through space, how their eye travels across a panel at distance versus up close, and how information hierarchy functions differently at monumental scale than on a printed page. These boards were printed in-house on large-format industrial Canon printers on specialty paper — which means every design decision accounted for not just how the work would look, but how it would be produced, at scale, in the real world.

The work spans multiple years of ICSC Red River and Las Vegas conferences — and that continuity is itself part of the creative story. In 2023, the design leaned into a clean gray bar system that allowed the Venture logo to command the panel immediately, with a featured transactions board dense with national brand logos communicating scale and credibility at a single glance. In 2024, the background evolved into a dynamic geometric pattern — more visually energetic, more modern, while the brand identity remained instantly recognizable. Same brand. Same polish. Different energy. That's brand stewardship, not just design execution.

The challenge at this scale isn't making something look good. It's making something perform. Every typographic decision, every photo placement, every section break had to work at the distance of a passing convention attendee and at the intimacy of someone standing directly in front of it. The information had to be readable, the brand had to be felt, and the overall presence had to stop someone mid-stride in a room full of competing visuals all fighting for the same moment of attention.
